Question by phgHunter: Wireless router recommendation?
I am getting a laptop and I need a wireless router. I have a cable modem. My connection is 400Kbps. I have a two story house that isn’t very big. There will only be one computer using the wireless router if that matters.

I was looking at this. I don’t know if it is more than I need: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833124190

What are some recommendations?

What customers say about AIR802 Omni-Directional Outdoor Antenna, Dual Band Frequency 2.4 and 5.1 to 5.8 GHz, Mast Mount Style for WiFi – WLAN?

  1. That would be an excellent choice… I have had one of the same running in my house for about 6 years. I too have a smaller two story and with only the addition of a high gain outdoor antenna have wireless access anywhere around the outside of the house I would like to sit during the Summer. I also use these units in many of the network installations that I do in my business. Their performance and longevity is much appreciated from a business standpoint.
