Question by kasewene: How do I set up Wired and Wireless connections for Buffalo Wireless-G ADSL2+?
It is model WBMR-G54.

I did all the IP stuff it says in the manual, but do not know how to actually connect to the net. Can anyone help?

Most routers have a WAN port that is separate from the lan ports (it should be labeled). Unplug the router and the dsl modem, then turn on modem (wait for a ready light) then router.

Then go to the configuration again and see if it’s acquired an IP from your ISP. (you shouldn’t have to manually configure any ip’s unless your ISP has a weird setup). If necessary, hard-reset the router to return it to its default settings.

Edit: I just realized that that it is a Modem/router combo (which is really weird). Did the manual come from your ISP or from the manufacturer? There’s a reset switch on the back of most hardware like that, you should probably just set it back to default settings, unplug, replug. I’m not too familiar with that brand or type of connection, sorry I can’t be more specific. You should probably contact your ISP and ask how to set it up.
