Question by V: Have you ever connected a Canon Pixma printer via a D-link DP-g310 wireless print server?
How ? I have the wireless connection just fine and I can access the print server menus wirelessly but when I try to print, it just says my printer is offline. I have followed all the destructions and I now suspect the Dlink print server was designed by Germans, possibly from Berlin. Ich bein ein rotten durch technik.

This review is from: EZOWare USB 2.0 LRP Network Print Server Share a Networking USB Printer with Ethernet Cable + Cable Tie (Electronics)

I bought this to put my old lexmark E285 on the network without needing to connect it to a computer.
I connect a USB to my printer and Ethernet to the network.
It works perfectly. The key is in the windows or MAC, you have to create a TCP/IP port and the protocol is LPR instead of RAW.
You have to follow the instructions that came with it to set the IP address and network mask.

  2. Ethernet connected by cable?

Its the crank shaft or the carburetor dummy.

    BTW:
“On his Government blog, Microsoft’s Ian McKenzie announced today that the Royal Navy was ahead of schedule for switching their nuclear submarines to a customized Microsoft Windows solution dubbed ‘Submarine Command System Next Generation (SMCS NG)’ which apparently consists of Windows 2000 network servers and XP workstations. In the article, it is claimed that this decision will save UK taxpayers £22m over the next ten years. The installation of the new system apparently took just 18 days on the HMS Vigilant. According to the BAE Systems press release from 2005, the overall cost of the rollout was £24.5m for all eleven nuclear submarines of the Vanguard, Trafalgar and Swiftsure classes. Talk about staying with the sinking ship.”
